Wire and cable are materials used for electrical, electrical, and related transmission purposes. As China's new energy industry, shipbuilding industry, rail transit and UHV industries are ushered in a violent development period, the demand for special cables is growing.

According to relevant data, in 2014, China imported about 117,000 tons of cable and wire, with a total value of 2.325 billion US dollars, equivalent to 13.837 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.7%, and wire and cable imports of about 115,400 tons, compared with 2013. Year-on-year decrease of 2.7%.

The cable and wire industry faces unfavorable factors in import and export, mainly including five aspects:

First, anti-dumping, technical barriers and intellectual property rights from the United States, the European Union and other countries are increasing.

Second, China's export tax rebate rate will affect corporate profits and production costs.

With the burgeoning development of China's new energy industry, there is a great demand for cable products, especially special cable products. It is expected that the market for special cable in China will reach 40 billion yuan/year to 50 billion yuan/year in the next five years, and market sales will account for about 40% of the total sales of the domestic cable market.
